Lightnings Blade Server Status

Tried to log on this morning and some message appeared saying the server was down for its weekly maintenance. Just tried again and I dont get Lightnings Blade in the realm list. Is maintenance still going on? If so is it always this long or is it just me having problems getting onto the server. Im new to this game so have no idea how long server downtimes are and when they occur.

OK just seen in the 'Breaking News Box' Server expected to be back up in 3 hours. :mad:

With the amount of time its taking to download the latest a patch (only 200 odd meg) ill be lucky to be on this time next week grrrrrr

200 meg is pretty big for a patch :o imagine that with dialup :p

Bugger is this 1.9? I hate patch day, I have to play without UI mods because none of them work :(

Although the upside is theres more content in one patch than SWG ever had in an expansion and its free. :D

nah 1.9 is next week i think either way wow has great patching and not even more bugs each patch lol either way devolopment does work with blizzard only CSR's are ****ter and they stick spyware on ur pc. but heck i dont realy mind that much

There was a big article on bbc about that a while ago - it's meant for catching cheaters but they can also see what ever you are doing out of wow also. Some guy made a prog that counters it by showing you what the spywear is showing them... or something like that!

lol yeah, the patching system runs on a P2P network, really sucks.

You may be able to find the retail to 1.8 patch on the net somewhere, if I still have it I'll upload it somewhere.

Ah yes that's what I hated about WoW, cheepo servers with queues and that naff patching system which even though I had 2 meg at the time just went very very very very slowly.

Is it just me or are people really anti-noob on WoW? I got a lvl 10 druid and the lvl 60's in guild basically ignore me :-o

Guild is on Lightnings Blade and yeah most people are generally anti-noob. Thankfully its a pretty easy learning curve, but if you need anything just ask :)

It is a PvP server, its not that bad to be honest. The usual corpse camping and ganking goes on, but its to be expected. Thats about as much grief that I've seen.

Basically when you're in Horde territory you cant be attacked. In contested territory its open season, Hillsbrad is always fun for questing. In Alliance territory you cant attack the Alliance players that have PvP off, but they can attack you at will which will then flag them for attack. Raids on Alliance villages are uber fun. Goldshire is a blast!

As for the constant duel requests, I had somebody follow me from Razor Hill to Orgrimmar then standing 10 minutes around me while I messed around in the AH and then back to Razor Hill using the /chicken emote contantly when I declined. If I knew about the /train emote back then I would have start following him using that when he gave up.

yup lv 60's only care about lv 60's and as far as they are concerned u a noob if u dont have at least one lv 60 char
