hahaha.:-)
well actually if we went to best old games of all time Star Wars Rebellion/Supremacy (got different names in different places) and X-Wing Alliance fly high there.
and as for Oblivion, it totally rocks. remember in morrowind how you had to use those striders to go everywhere or teleport, well now you can fast travel to places visited. takes time in the day, but no boring long journeys. horses? in it. and useful. (not some though lol)
combat? SOOO much improved, remember if you shot something in morrowind and if your skill sucked, it could hit them in the face and not do damage? removed. i shot a guy while he was jumping through the air at me and he went flying backwards. swords are now kept in scabbards at your side. well...it Rocks :-) (can you tell i love it? ;P)

Would like to try KOTOR 2, those that have played it whats your thoughts on this game? Another game that gave me countless hours of fun (though not a PC game) was Shenmue on the Dreamcast. Droma will know where im coming from with this one 8-) *Rushes up to the loft to dust down the ol DC*

Shenmue was awesome, both I and II. as for KOTOR 2, was good in the sense that it delved deeper into each planet you went to, and the character development was very much improved over KOTOR, BUT the ending was thrown together shabbilly and leaves you feeling VERY unsatisfied. It lacked the inspiration of "epic-ness" that the first one had really.
basically, it goes a LOT deeper that KOTOR, phylosophical talks with chars and what not, and you can turn most of the crew dark side, but not on the same level of "original gaming experience" that the first one gave off.

I loved KOTOR, best game i ever played, KOTOR 2 is very good aswell and probably better gameplay and character advancement wise but the ending is a bit of anti-climax but the story it still really good imo. But if u like star wars and rpgs then i dont see how u couldnt like either kotor or kotor2

I have to say after a couple days playing oblivion that it is absolutely amazing, the depth to it is just breathtaking and all the character advancement options look equally cool whether it combat, magic, stealth or combinations of them. The quests are also cool, even the quests that are not related to the main quest series. I could go on and on and on but basically it is as near to being a perfect rpg game that u are ever gonna get

I love how in oblivion you choose a main profession..However at any time if you get bored of that prof you can raise your lower skills to high levels and be just as sucessful being a thief as well as a knight..or anything else :)

Yeh i gotta agree with Dazor, not restricted in any way.
saying that, what class (if template) or custom class have people gone for?
mine is an assassin, Im listener in the Dark Brotherhood and have focus mainly on being invisible and stealthy, so my marksman and blade are up there (i LOVE my sniper bow :P)
downside is i didnt notice the utterly useless skill thrown in there, and so i have Alchemy as a major skill among all my ninja ones :( knew the template was too convincing...
as a result my magicka is rubbish though, so any extra spells of invisibility can't be used! :( which stinks because using the sign of the shadow and all, i figured with extra invisiblity powers i could stay covert for much longer, but noo... "you don't have enough magicka"
I can never win:(

hmm well i tried it as bard and warlock(?)dont have the english copy;/
well i like the game too,the quests are really cool but i gave up:-P
iam too stupid for fighting, thats why i didnt make lots of progress with the storyline.i keep on dying and the me is pissed:hellyes:
so i prefer to log into eq2 and kill others while not healing^^j.k:)
best offline game?like the kotor ones and yeah sims/2 cause your never done there.sims where the first pc game i tried at my ex' pc, sims and the longest journey which kept me at the pc a whole weekendah yeah..:-)

im currently:
Arena - Grand Champion
Dark Brotherhood - Listener
Thieves Guild - Gray Fox
Fighter's Guild - Master
and I guess it means i should start on the main storyline now :( join the Blades. anyone know where I can loot the Elven Helmet? i have the full armour set bar the helmet :( im a wood elf to boot.:-)

Sauri
17th April 2006, 23:35
its not as high end as it would appear. generally i would say if it doesnt run oblivion at all and its due to system spec you may want to upgrade the system, just as if it runs oblivion, you can garauntee it will also run the usual games better than you've ever had it:-) mind you i would recommend upgrading just to play Oblivion..so...or as some do, buy a 360 ;-)
apparently its much better GFX wise, so...oooooooooooooooooo..
