Glad to see you're all alive still. WOW is great, much better than I would have thought and 1000x better balanced that swg ever was. Having a lot fo fun playing soem really great touches in the game and the new battlefields sound awesome. Well worth checking out Blizzards site for the write up on them.

I see a few of you are playing Evergrind 2, having tried a non-soe game I can see just how synical their approach to mmo's is. Hopefully a few of you may look in on the rest of us in the world of wow, if not I'll pop in and out here and see how you're all doing :)

still got my SWG account even though i have not loged in for a long long time... I keep checking the forums for details on the combat upgrade or for some JTL content... but mosty i read about how much more they have screwed up the game :(

so WoW have dedicated servers then ??

Sylvan, they will be running PvP, PvE and RP servers... (US are running 88ish servers split between the 3 types)

In the final beta they have about 10 english servers split between PVP and PVE, You can still participate in PVP when playing on a PVE server but it works kinda like the overt/covert system in SWG... U flag /pvp or attack a PVP enabled guard, and can then be attacked by the opposite faction.

on pure PVP servers you have contested zones that are a free for all faction vs faction, but within your factions controlled territory you can choose to attack the invading faction but they cannot attack you first :) (i think :P)

Hey nice - a "remember me?" thread - so I don't have to start one... :D

So do you actually remember me? I thought I should check back here. Doing the WoW final beta right now and am enjoying it...in a way.

Right now I am at some kind of turning point...WoW is preordered and everything but some sort of "force" (heh :D) draws me towards SWG. I might return.

Face the fact dudes: nothing, absoluley nothing can beat a Star Wars setting in an MMO. Not talking about game mechanics or anything else that sucks about SWG (or at least used to) - the setting is the best there is.

I might return when the combat upgrade is done and live. I really miss you guys and I miss SWG - and damn it: I MISS SUNSETS ON THE HILLS NEAR BESTINE! :D
