Shapes, size and socket
Uncut gems will produce good quality gems (green name). These have gem shape 5 and can be put in Size 1 sockets.
Flawless gems will produce superior quality gems (blue name). These have gem shape 10 and can be put in Size 2 sockets.
Simple Conclusion:
Uncut = green name = gem shape 5 = size 1 socket
Flawless = blue name = shape 10 = size 2 sockets
Items
Armors, 1-handed and 2-handed weapons use different gemcuts. In an armour you can only put a oblique or Cabachon cut gem, in 1-hander a Rhombic or Trillon and in a 2-hander either a Oval or Teardrop.
One handed weapons (named class A)
