    Retribution Paladin, Friend Rank Application

    About you

    Real Name: Pete Davies

    Your Age: 24

    Your Country: United Kingdom

Are you joining as a friend (not chosen for raiding) or as a raider? Friend

If you are joining as a friend, who are you friends with in the guild? I know Tom(Exinferris) in real life.

What are your regular playing times? This changes because I work shift work my play times are quite irregular, I would say I play almost every day though.

Can you attend our raid schedule (9-Midnight (Servertime) Wednesday, Thursday & Monday)? Applying as a friend so not counted for raiding I think.

Do you have a reliable internet connection? Yes

Do you have Ventrilo? Nope, I used to and can easy get it again, hmm I’ll need to get a headset as well.

Any personal information you wish to mention? I live in Edinburgh Scotland, work in a bar 6 days a week and love football, possibly more than girlfriend but don’t tell her!!

    Your character

Character name, class and spec: Xcell(Nothing to do with Microsoft I promise!) Retribution, (OS tank but I’m quite rubbish)

What is your gearscore (if you know it)? Raid with 4921, can go to 5k but thats not my best dps score

Which bosses have you killed in Icecrown Citadel? Just had one failed rep run.

Are there any other Icecrown Citadel bosses you have first hand experience on?
    Nope

Why did you choose your main spec? I chose retribution at level 70, having been prot as I had never played the wotlk dungeons and therefore thought it would be easier to learn them as dps. At 80 I switched back for a bit as my tanking gear that I’d picked up on grolls was ok for normals etc. but I found that I had so many new tools that I hadn’t got used to using at 70, hence I was a real hamper to the group so I went back to ret.

Are you dual specced? If YES, what is your offspec and why did you choose it? Ret and Prot, see above

Do you have any Alts that you play regularly: Not really, I have a hunter that I mean to keep levelling but it’s a very slow process

Did you level your character yourself? Yes

Are you the only person that plays your character? Yes

Would you be happy to respec if required? Yeah but it would take a lot of practice for me to become a competent tank again.

How do you prepare for raids? I always read up and watch videos to try and gain information on the fights I havn’t done before, but as ever experience first hand is always the best for me. I’m not entirely clueless and unless really drunk, more than capable of stepping out of the fire! I would bring flasks and potions for whatever the raid requires. Having raided TBC and Vanilla I know every tiny buff counts.

What was your previous guild and why did you leave? I have been in Atmosphere for a couple of weeks as a new guild began building a fun team but it never came to anything with people leaving and no communication within guild.

How did you hear about The Dark Vengeance?
    From a friend

What is your entire end-game raid experience? Well I started vanilla as a mage and raided upto BWL on Turalyon server, and I still count my first Nef kill as my proudest moment in wow. In TBC I cleared Kara and Grull at the start but unfortunately our guild never made the step into SSC, we tried so hard to do so. Loot Reaver was downed later but as it’s name states that wasn’t a challenge at that time.
I then deleted my account and quit wow for a year or so before coming back a few months ago, when I started levelling my paladin on a new account as my old one was lost in the realms of cyberspace.
Right now I have been pugging my way through VoA, Ony, and weeklys with a few failed attempts at ToC. That is a very strange thing for me, this whole “pugging raids”, as that would never happen on Turalyon in TBC/vanilla.

Lastly, why should we recruit you over another player of similar gear/experience?
Erm, I wouldn’t! Only joking :P I’m a friendly guy just wanting to have some fun with a good bunch of people, this pugging culture means people can progress (of sorts) unguilded but I really miss the friendship and camaraderie of a guild.

Ello ello. The officers are usually allllllways on alts, so ask any TDV member to get one of us to invite you, or better yet get Tom to let us know, or better yet whisper Blasphemy or Blasph (my alt) anytime from 7pm onwards tonight.
