SECTION I

Introduction

The goal of this FAQ is to provide clear, concise information on the Death Watch Bunker and all things related to it to the general player base of Star Wars Galaxies. I'm totally open to suggestions for things that should be included. If you have a question that's not included/answered here, please send me a PM and I'll try to answer it to the best of my ability. This guide, while initially comprehensive, cannot possibly include everything on Death Watch Bunker (I'm sure I'm forgetting things), so it will constantly be evolving-- getting updated, edited, etc. Be sure to check back often. I'll try to log everything in the patch notes in Section XI.

SECTION II

Getting Started/Prepping

So, you think you've got what it takes to tackle the hidden, most elite sect of mercenaries in the galaxy? Well, all I can say is, you've got not idea what you're going up against! The Death Watch Bunker is, in this humble Mariachi's opinion, the most difficult dungeon in all of Star Wars Galaxies (yes, it even beats the Corvette, and no, you can't walk through it. . . well, you can, but don't expect to get very far. ).

All the MOBs are on a 4 minute respawn timer, so keeping on the move is a must. You cannot rebuff inside the Death Watch Bunker, and you cannot pull pets while inside. If you don't have a group of at LEAST 10 Master Elites, you'll have a hard time making any progress at all (note I say 'any', not 'fast' progress). To be frank, I'm afraid massive zerging by one or two groups of 20 is the only way to crack this place apart.

Recommended classes include: BHers, Pikemen, TKMs, Swordsmen (Bring Your Scythes), CMs, Riflemen (Leave your AOEs at home), Doctors. . . you know, all the standard professions you bring with you when you're going for heavy PvE. Buffs are a must, as well, of course, and Composite is highly recommended.

SECTION III

Getting In

Coordinates: | - 4671 4327 | Endor, NW of Smuggler's Outpost

Access: The Death Watch Bunker is locked. In order to gain access, you'll need to speak with Boba Fett-- the only guy who'd really know about this place, anyway.

Neutral - Boba Fett | It's a POI. . . Use Your Datapad | Jabba's Palace (Throne Room), Tatooine (Note that you will need to do at least the first 2 NPC's quests to gain access to Boba. While you cannot enter the throne room to speak with him till the 3rd is done, a /conv from the doorway will spark the conversation with him you need to be given access.): Anyone may speak to Boba Fett (with good Jabba faction, I believe). He simply wants you to go take a look instead of hanging around the palace wasting space. /shrug Taciturn muchacho, that Boba. . .

NOTE: If you're in a group (o course you are, right?), only the leader needs to have spoken with Boba-- they can flip the initial Terminal Switch and get the whole group inside the dungeon.

SECTION IV

Quests

Imperial - Commander D'krn | -1160 -3527 | Bestine, Tatooine: Imperials may speak with this NPC. The good Commander wants a vial of blood from the leader of the Mandalorians to use as a sample for a batch of improved Stormtroopers. Hop to it, soldier!

Rebel - Lutin Nightstalker | -215 -4446 | Coronet, Corellia: Rebels may speak with this NPC. The Rebellion needs you to rescue a VIP kidnapped by the Death Watch. Extraction of the scientist is of the utmost importance! Think you have what it takes? May the Force be with you.

IMPORTANT: There are rumors that the rewards for the Imperial/Rebel Quests are the elusive 5th Jetpack Part (if such a thing exists). However, at this time, the quests are only awarding 30 Rebel/Imperial faction, so this is speculation at best.

SECTION V

Rewards

( Hereby known as 'teh ub3r l3wtness' )

Loot: DE-10 Pistol Schematics, Executioner's Hack Schematics, DE-10 Pistol Barrels, Binary Liquid, Protective Liquid Coating, Rebreathers, Alum Mine Gel Packets, Art Crates, Data Storage Units, A Vial Of Blood, Injector Tanks, Fuel Dispersion Units, Ducted Fans, Section A Passkey, Section B Passkey, Mine Key

Craftable Items: Mandalorian Armor, Jetpack

Art Crate - The art crate is a generic item that you can get out of the loot chests that when used will create a Piece of Art in you inventory.

Alum Mine Gel Packs - These are used, in conjunction with Rebreather Filters, to modify a rebreather to allow safe travel through the Alum Mines. Only an Artisan with Engineering 2 can craft this at a special Workbench inside the dungeon. Note that Rebreathers are no-drop, and so are the modified ones, so only Artisans w/ Engineering 2 can benefit from this. Miners tend to carry these.

Rebreathers - Standard rebreathers, like the ones found in the Geonosian cave. Need to retrofit these in order to breathe safely in the dangerous Alum mines! OooooOOO! :o Miner have these things, too.

Data Storage Devices - Fun little 'broken datapads', basically. Each one has a small little document you can read on it, from how to cook krayt to excerpts from Bantam Star Wars EU books. 6 in all. Collect the whole set, kids!

A Vial of Blood - Drops off the Death Watch Overlord. Needed to complete the Imperial quest.

Passkeys - Needed to bypass the 'trap room doors' without setting off a security alarm. These are tradeable items that disappear after use. They can be used from your backpack if you flip the switch.

Jetpack bases were removed as a possible drop from the loot chests.

IMPORTANT: There are rumors that the rewards for the Imperial/Rebel Quests are the elusive 5th Jetpack Part (if such a thing exists). However, at this time, the quests are only awarding 30 Rebel/Imperial faction, so this is speculation at best.

IMPORTANT: Razor Knuckler schematics were supposedly pulled from the loot tables by the developers due to game balance issues. However, there are reports of these schematics being looted out of the chests inside the dungeon on Live. It is unclear at this time if the weapon has already been 'balanced' ahead of time (it was scheduled to start dropping again in Publish 10), or if the schematic dropping is intended or not. Awaiting developer comment to Player Correspondents.

IMPORTANT: BOUNTY HUNTER ARMOR, USED TO CRAFT MANDALORIAN ARMOR, DOES NOT DROP IN THE DEATH WATCH BUNKER.

SECTION VI

The Death Watch

Enemies Include: Super Battle Droids (Stronger than the Corellian Corvette SBDs), Battle Droids, Death Watch Ghosts, Death Watch Wraiths, Death Watch Bloodguards, Black Sun Assassins, Black Sun Henchmen, Black Sun Thugs, Black Sun Guards

Bosses: Black Sun Overlord, Rageon Vert, Klin Nif, (3rd Named NPC who's name I'm so sorry I can't recall )

SECTION VII

Mandalorian Armor

( Hereby known as, 'teh hawtness' )

This armor must be crafted in the special Forge Rooms at the bottom of the Bunker. You have 5 minutes to complete the crafting process before you will be ejected. Failure during the crafting process will forcibly eject the entire party to the Bunker entrance.

Crafting the armor is as simple as dragging the pieces onto the Crafting Droid in the Forge Rooms and following the instructions given. No experimentation is used in this process (at least, for the DE to make the Helmet).

Mandalorian Armor is vulnerable to Stun, Lightsaber, Electricity, and Cold. Turning BH armor into Mandalorian Armor increased the resistances of the Helmet we used by 6%, except for Blast, which was increased by 13% (A 52% to all helmet became a 65% Blast/58% all but Stun/Cold/Elec/Lightsaber helmet). The HAM was also very slightly increased. We have not attempted to slice it yet. We have not attempted to repair it yet; the Helmet became 40,000/40,000 condition after the crafting process; it's original condition was 28106/30294.

Here's a pic. http://www.freepgs.com/bigchiplan/swg/dw17.jpg
Wearable by: Master Bounty Hunter

Master Squad Leader

Master Commando

Master Ranger

Crafted by: Master Droid Engineer

Master Armorsmith

Master Tailor

INGREDIENTS:

- BH Armor (the pieces you wish to make of Mandalorian)

- Alum Minerals

- Protective Liquid Coating

- Binary Liquid

SECTION VIII

Jetpack

This vehicle must be crafted in the special Droid Engineer Forge Room at the bottom of the Bunker. You have 5 minutes to complete the crafting process before you will be ejected. Failure during the crafting process will forcibly eject the entire party to the Bunker entrance.

Crafted by: Master Droid Engineer (The Crafting Station is in the MDE Room)

INGREDIENTS:

- Jetpack Base

- Injector Tank

- Fuel Dispersion Unit

- Ducted Fan

- (5th part?)

IMPORTANT: There were early rumors that there was both the jetpack AND a new vehicle inside the DWB in a swgstratics.com interview. TH has stated that the developer's words were misinterpreted and the jetpack is the only new vehicle. The interviewer responsible for the original error has been poison/diseased and triple-grief-incapped by the very best of Ahazian PvPers.

SECTION IX

Bounty Hunter Armor

Bounty Hunter Armor is wearable by any profession. It's stats (and conditions) on pieces vary wildly, from the low teens to 90%. Like all looted armor, the HAM is very low. It comes in one color. Legendary pieces may have 90% Resistances, Skill Modifiers, or exceptionally high condition (or all three.). It is sliceable. We have not attempted to repair it yet.

Twi'leks can't wear the helmets (presumably because the developers hate them). Wookiees can't wear any of the armor ( definately because the developers hate them).

Drops off: Black Sun Thugs, Black Sun Assassins, Black Sun Guards, Black Sun Henchmen.

IMPORTANT: This armor only drops off these NPCs at their random spawns. These spawns have been confirmed to be on Yavin IV, Dathomir, and Endor (though NOT in the Bunker and NOT at 0, 0). There are also unconfirmed reports of Black Sun spawns on Dantooine.

SECTION X

History

Patch Notes - Tuesday, May 25, 2004

- Posted guide. Requested stickiness (and a /snog) from Test Center Correspondent.

- Fixed some typos and grammatical errors.

- Fixed an issue with the 'Getting In' section. Speaking to Boba Fett is the ONLY way to gain access to the dungeon-- the Imperial and Rebel NPCs simply give you quests. To compensate, a new Section, Quests, has been moved into the IV slot, and the factional quests have been placed here.

- Nerfed the clear domes on R2 units. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

- Added an explanation of art crates, added the certifications for Mandalorian Armor, answered some questions on it, too.

- Clarified a few sections at the requests of some players. Also, added information to answer a few commonly asked questions we've been receiving.

Patch Notes - Wednesday, May 26, 2004

- Laughed, uncontrollably, at playerbase feedback to Death Watch Bunker.

- Wiped tears from eyes; updated information regarding the Razor Knuckler.

Patch Notes - Thursday, May 27th, 2004

- Tired of reading Live Servers' complaints on the Death Watch Bunker. Decided to go show them how we roll out here on TC (also decided to bring along wookiees, just to prove how ub3r we are).

- Crafted first Mandalorian Helmet. Partied for hours.

- Updated Mandalorian Armor Section with new statistics and info, added a link to a screenshot, just to crash Osrix's hosting FTP.

A little bit more stolen information - this is taken from the DE forums written by the DE Correspondent. I have chopped out about half the post just to get to the facts - mostly its the stuff that the DE will need to know (The full post is here: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/b...ssage.id=88351 - if you want to see the original).

Mandalorian Armor Revealed!: Information, tips & screenshots - by TheRealTK421

Preparation:
The DWB is not the sort of dungeon that can be completed in one night or one 'pass'. It will take a longer term, concentrated effort. The first few times your 'strike team' hits the bunker, you'll end up needing to work on getting the layout down, collecting keys and looted parts for the armor/jetpack.

I would very much suggest that you find a solid, well-trained (and very disciplined) combat 'strike team' to hit the Bunker repetitively. I would not suggest that you get yourself in there with people you do not know and trust.

So, before you get geared up to do this for real, have the following (if at all possible):
• * The layout down as much as possible...
* The list of combat folk that you can count on to focus on crackin' this mutha...
* Several needed keys (on several different members, in case someone dies)...
* Several sets of needed parts (again, just in case)...

What you need to bring:
You need not worry a ton (as the DE/crafter member) about bringing any crafting tools, a crafting-enabled droid, any sorts of regular resources, droid/armor parts, etc. If the looted parts (needed to get into the room) are on your person, by the time you need to use the DE door lock controls, you're good to go.

The items I needed to gain access to the DE room.
* BH Armour pieces
* Jetpack components
* Alum Minerals
* Protective Liquid Coating
* Binary Liquid

At the DE crafting room door:
Okay...so, you've fought through the higher levels.... You've gotten yourself to the mine entrance...and finally to the DE crafting room door...

If you haven't already, get the parts you need from the member of your party that has them. I actually recommend that they get you the needed items before you all even start. This means no waiting when you finally step up to the plate. When you reach the door, you have only to "Use" the door control (via its radial menu) and, if you have the necessary ingredients, you will unlock the door and you (and your team) can get on in there...

DE Crafting room - Level 1 (up the first ramp):
You'll need to get right in there and make a quick right, heading up the ramp. The first level here has the Jetpack Crafting droid and a Mandalorian Forge for it to use. Since our target on this particular trip was the helmet, I wasn't able to try this out (even though I had all the needed parts....I think). Anyway...

DE Crafting room - Level 2 (top level):
This is where the armor 'magic' happens...

If you're making armor, get thyself up to the top level as soon as possible. Bear in mind, your group CAN follow you into the DE Crafting room...but there are baddies around while you're trying to craft. So, make sure they are ready to keep them off you while you focus. There is another Crafting droid here next to another Mandalorian Forge. If you attempt to select/use the Mandalorian Forge, you will see the following message:

"The Terminal is displaying numbers and images. It is not ready for input at this time."

If you see this...it means you're not doing it right. You will need to start by dragging and dropping parts from your main inventory right on top of the Crafting droid. Make sure to check the chat/UI for the line... "The following items are still needed...".

I do not know if the order that you drop items is important, but I used:
• 1. BH armor helmet
2. Alum Minerals
3. Binary Liquid
4. Protective Liquid Coating

When I dragged/dropped the looted component items on to the Crafting Droid, I got the following: "All items dropped on...waiting for process to begin".

Then...I needed to actually use the Mandalorian Forge. When I did, I got: "The Alum hardening process (begins)... "

"The Alum hardening process is about to begin. Would you like to continue?"
(Note: you cannot choose "No" here.)

Once this process completes (it happens pretty fast), you'll be prompted to use the Mandalorian Forge again. This time, you'll be starting the "Aeration" process. This also only takes a few moments, but when it's finished you're all done.

Nope - read the original post again...

The rebreathers are loot, and the filters come from the dispenser in that room, but only someone with Engineering 2 can combine them.

Doesn't matter either way really - if we can all get to the mines fully buffed then we don't need to even worry about the gas. By cutting out this room we could save about half an hour off the time we took last night.

Death Watch Bunker Guide v1.1

This is a guide to help everyone with the Death Watch Bunker on Endor. It is a work in progress. There are NO screenshots. I could add screenshots, but that would be making it too easy

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This guide is to try and help everyone craft Mandalorian Armor. As alot of people know I led the first group on Live servers to successfully and unsuccessfully craft a helmet. I'll try to guide you through making it without getting bugged like we did. This guide will not be completely comprehensive. I will expect you guys to at least know the waypoints, and have a general idea where some of these places are. It is not going to be handed on a silver platter.

How to get in?

You need to have completed the Jabba theme park, and talk to Boba Fett. He will give you permission into the bunker. If you have not done these missions, then you can group with someone who has. For both of you to get access, when you go in the first door around the corner. You will see a Door Terminal. When the person with the quest completed uses the terminal it will "Unlock" the bunker entrance.

Sections & Keys:

The bunker is setup in 4 sections. The exterior, Section A, Section B, and the Mine Section. You will need 3 different keys in order to continue to each of the 3 section. Each section key can be found by locating their allocated door terminals. How to access the Exterior section, please look above at "How to get in?". When the terminal is attempted to "unlock" the door. It will notify security, in which a bloodguard or a ghost will come down to investigate. As soon as this individual is attacked, he will then call for reinforcements. When the reinforcements arrive, you then attack him; which then in turn calls for the keymaster. The keymaster as I call him, is someone who has no title, just a name. After killing this guy, and looting him. You will be given the section keypass to the door terminal you had just tried to unlock. Keymasters look just like Death Watch Wraiths and have identical resistances.

Mandalorian Forges:

There are three different forge rooms. These will be split up into their allocated profession. Every peice of armor requires 4 components. The peice you are crafting (the helmet) , Alum Mineral, Protective Coating, and Binary Liquid. The Bounty-Hunter armor itself CANNOT be looted from within the bunker. Only the random Black Sun spawns that are located outside the bunker loot armor. The 3 professions required to get inside the forge are Master Tailor, Master Armorsmith, Master Droid Engineer.

Master Tailor = Leggings, Gloves, and Belt.
Master Droid Engineer = Bracers, Helmet. (Jetpack crafting station is inside the Master Droid Engineer forge room.)
Master Armorsmith = Bicepts, Boots, and Chestplate.
Master Artisan = Jetpack
Components:

Armor & Jetpack Base - looted off random Black Sun spawns (yavin, endor, dath)
Alum Gel - npc bunker loot (used to modify rebreathers in Section B)
Protective Coating - Death Watch Overlord, Death Watch Wraiths, Death Watch Ghosts
Alum Mineral - The miner's quest within the mine.
Binary Liquid - Death Watch Overlord, Death Watch Wraiths, Death Watch Ghosts
Jetpack Components - Looted from containers inside the bunker. The jetpack base is looted from Black Sun spawns outside of the bunker.
Other Misc Bunker Loots: DE-10 Schematic , Executioner's Axe Schematic, Crates of Art, DE-10 Pistol Barrels, Transmission Disks, Datastorage Units.

Finding Section A:

After unlocking the first door terminal, and proceeding through the adjacent door. Moving right through this next room will give you a dead end with either left or right. Proceed left here, down the ramp. Once in the next room you will want to hang another left. This route will eventually lead you to an open room with some harmless droids in the center. The door you entered this room in, directly to your left is the door terminal to Section A. The door right next to the terminal, is the locked Section A door.

Finding Section B:

Going through the Section A door, you will want to take that first left, down the long hallway. Follow this all the way to the end, until you get to the open room. In this open room, there is a technician you can talk to who will tell you what professions are needed to craft Mandalorian (incase I eh'um, accidently mixmatched professions with peices). Once you enter this room, keep going straight through the door directly infront of you across the room. This will lead down a series of ramps, into another large room. Once you are in this large room, directly across infront of you is the Section B door terminal. The door right next to this terminal is not the Section B door, but if you go through this door into the next room, the door straight across (next to the coal bin), is the Section B door. There is another way to get to Section B, but this route directly runs into the door terminal.

Finding the Mines:

Proceeding through the Section B door, there is a down ramp right infront of you. Take it all the way to the bottom, through the glassed entrance and hang a right. After going through the next door, hang your first left that goes down another ramp. At the bottom of this ramp to your right is the locked mine entrance. To open this door, you will take a left. Once you go around that corner you will see a very long hall. At the very end of this hall is the Mine terminal. Once you have obtained the key, you can then unlock the terminal and proceed back to the locked door.

Navigating through the Mines:

For the sake of difficulty, I will entail 2 directions. The first direction is maintaining all Left hand turns. This will lead you to the Miner's Quest. Proceeding at the entrance to take all right hand turns, (besides where the mine rats are, you take a left) will eventually run into the first forge door. I won't go into specifics, it is up to you guys to figure this area out on your own. The mine gas will not harm people buffed, but unbuffed people will have a devestating toll.

Crafting a Mandalorian Helm:

Once you find the Mandalorian Droid Engineer Forge door. You will proceed through the glass door, up the ramps to the very top. The jetpack crafting station is on the second floor, as the mandalorian forge is on the third. You will want to protect your crafter at all costs. I suggest not entering the forge aggro'd, and not crafting with him aggro'd either. Once he inserts the first peice (the helm), a bunch of guys will spawn. Protect him at all costs! If he dies, the mission could potentially get bugged at any point, even if he hasn't crafted yet. You will be given a series of instructions that are self explanitory. For instance, inserting the rest of the peices and it will automatically craft for you. There is another guide that goes through this more indepth, i suggest finding that and reading it. As far as we know, there is no order in which you input the components. This stage is not very hard, it is more of a matter of protecting your crafter. You will only need the 4 components I listed in Mandalorian Forges. You do not need a crafting tool or any resources.

The Miner's Quest:

This is one of the hardest quests within this game. If there is one that is harder, i simply have not found it yet. This quest is time based, however; components from within the quest can be obtained sometimes after the timer expires. As long as you go and grab the component and restart the quest. You can still proceed to the next step.

Finding the Miner - Look under Navigating through the Mines for how to find the Miner's Quest.

Helping a friend - This is the first mission you will be given. A friend has Alum Sickness and you are required to cure him to obtain a battery. Once you find him within the mines, attack him. It will wake him up out of his sense, and he will instruct you to find a cure for him. To find the cure, after proceeding through the Section A door, you will want to take your first right. Down that hall you will run into 2 different rooms infront of you, and to your right. One of these rooms is the workshop, the other is the medical facility. Conversating with the medical droid will give you the Alum Sickness Cure.

Now that you have the cure, you can run back down to the guy who told you about the cure, and cure him. He will then give you a battery that goes back to the miner. Once you give the miner the battery, he will need you to clean it. As i mentioned above about the workshop and the medical facility, the workshop is where you clean the battery. Just give it to the droid, and he will clean it. After obtaining the clean battery, go back down and give it to the miner.

This is the last part of the quest, and was the most frustrating. The miner will need you to turn on the water pumps. To find this room, after you enter the Section B door, don't go down the ramp. Go straight ahead to the door, and take your first left. This room has 4 different water pump gages on the wall. They have 2 options, on and off. If I knew the sequence to getting them all on, I probably wouldn't include it. It would spoil all the fun

OK - we have 4 Section A Keys, 3 Section B keys & 1 Mine Passcard - Jedel does not have one, my mistake.

We could do with farming a few Mine Passcards, which IMO will be easier to do as there is only 1 SBD spawning in that area instead of 3 (there are 2 BD's though - but they are easy)

We also need Protective Fluid & Alum Minerals still (Foreman's quest), so I suggest we do a run tonight for the Mine Passcards (preferably 3) & then if we can head into the mines to try the Foreman's quest.

Guide ^^^^^^^^^

Minimum Team requirements:

At least 3 tanks, preferably Pikemen. Troe, Kzik & Garwi did very well last night.

At least 2 MBH. Me & Spank. More would help, as would other heavy Weapon specialists.

1 Doc or CM as a healer, preferably with a Tanking prof.

Any other Ranged Profs would help as would melee profs to make up the numbers. Obviously healers would help & for a crafting run, the specific prof would be required.
