    Recommended Add-Ons

Here is a list of mods I use, some of them I'm just testing out some I use all the time.

I have decided to put an update log here so you know when I change things around:

    Updates

    • 14th September 2009
      • Removed all the old mods and added in my new list of addons.
      • I use warboard location instead of simplexy now. Warboard also replaces influence text which broke with 1.3.1 patch.
      • EzCraft is replaced by motion which is a nice small window and allows saving of crafting recipes.
      • TidyQueue replaces Join Selected Scenarios.
    • 10th November 2008
      • Added Tome Titan.
      • Added SimpleXY and LibSurveyor.
      • Added Guild Default Tab
    • 4th November 2008
      • Removed Letter Opener - zmailmod now has this built in.

    General
    • QuestTrackerHelper - Adds and removes quests from the tracker depending on zone and if you are in RvR or not. This is very useful.
    • NPC Item Sale Price - Adds a sale price to the tool tip when you mouse over items.
    • Preciousss - When you mouse over a jewellery items it shows all jewellery slots instead of just the first one.
    • Buy Stack - Lets you CTRL click an item in a vendor to purchase a stack. You can change the stack size to any value you want.
    • BlackBox - Replaces the black respawn window with a small bar.
    • Tome Titan - Helps you find the location of and keep track of Tome Updates. Titles, Tactics and so forth.
    • Mine Filter - Allows you to show items for your class but without checking level and renown restrictions on NPC vendors.
    • Phantom - Remove GUI elements such as default unit frames, warband windows, group windows, etc.
    • NAMBLA - Makes the Action Bar buttons look cleaner.
    • Quick Performance Toggle - Change your performance mode with one slash command.
    • Warboard - Top and bottom bar with various plug-ins to see level, rank, location etc. Worth searching for all the plug-ins and adding in the ones you will use.

    Crafting
    • Crafting info Tooltip - Shows you the effects of ingredients and so forth on crafting items such as power, spell effect and any stats.
    • Mass Refine - Lets you refine multiple crafting components and currency items in a couple of clicks.
    • Miracle Grow Remix - Very useful for cultivators.
    • Motion - Auto Crafting Add-on, I use this instead of EzCraft now.

    RvR (PvP)
    • Map Monster, MiniMap Monster, Warcommander - These three addons allow you place map pins, useful in RvR so you can ask for a res, indicate a spotted enemy group, direct people to a specific location. When you send out the message everyone with Warcommander will see the icon on their map.
    • State of the Realm - Allows you to see what each zone status is, control of keeps, Battlefield Objective control and how many victory points until a zone lock in tier 4. Very useful for seeing where the RvR action is and what the opposing realm is attacking and the timers until they control that objective.
    • Tidy Queue - Lets you join multiple Scenario Queues at once.
    • TokenMachine - Auto roll for medallions and crests and shows you a message when you loot them.

    Mail Tools
    • zMailMod - Send multiple mails to someone and lets you take multiple attachments in a couple of clicks.

    Combat
    • Warhammer Scrolling Combat Text - Lots of numbers fly from your head. Plus other notifications like moral abilities ready, buffs and de-buffs cast on you etc.

    Unit Frame Replacements
    • Pure - Replacement for the default Unit Frames.
    • Squared - Lots of squares for your current group. It's very useful for healers.

    Add-on Libraries
    • LibSlash - Most Add-Ons use this so you should always have this installed.
    • LibSurveyor - Used for SimpleXY but has some other nifty functions for other add-ons to use.

    Obsolete Add-Ons
    • ISHealBot - I don't use this yet but am giving it a try. Works with Unit frames to allow click casting of heals - I found I prefered clicking the action bar. I could never remember the key combinations.
    • SquaredAssist - Allows click assisting when using the squared Unit frames.
    • ISAssistTracker - Lets you create a list of people to assist in a nice little window. Has a panic window to let people know your under attack and a ready check for the group leader.
    • Letter Opener - Allows you to take all attachments and delete all mail with the click of a button.
    • InfluenceText - Shows the amount of influence needed on each step.
    • Adv Action Bar Options - Allows you to have 3 or 5 action bars and lets you move and resize them. Make sure you read the instructions on how to use it.
    • ActionBarColor - Colours the action bar icons red instead of just the default text when a target is out of range.
    • Chat Alert! - Makes a sound when someone sends you a tell. You might want to turn the sounds off for everything. I also have a slightly modified version that saves the settings correctly.
    • Clock - Small clocks so you don't end up missing your tea!
    • Window Cleaner - Allows you to remove UI elements such as buffs and debuffs on the group windows, hide group windows, chat icons etc.
    • Join Selected Scenarios - Allows you to join selected Scenarios rather than individual or all at once.
    • Clean Cast Bar - A nice clean looking cast bar replacement.
    • SimpleXY - Changes the Co-ordinate display to 12k,14k for example.
    • DefaultTab - Changes default tabs for the guild and social window. Also automatically hides offline guild members.
    • LibTargetInfo - Used for TargetInfoWindow Add-On.
    • PsiStatus - Nice looking unit frames, much nicer than the default. Now using this over clean unit frames.
    • TargetIinfo - Has a little window showing you the class of your current target (both friendly and hostile). Needs LibTargetInfo to work.
    • DaoCBuff - Creates a movable buff window to display your current buffs and debuffs, a bit bugger than those attached to the unit frames and can be moved about.
    • EZCraft - Adds a drop down list when you left click a slot in the crafting windows which contains items from your backpack which can go in that slot - A great time saver!

    Updated my addon list.
    • Replaced QuickMailtools with Letter Opener.
    • I don't use ISAHealbot or the Assist Tracker now but I left them in for those who wish to.
    • Added BlackBox to replace the respawn countdown window.
    • Added Clean Cast Bar.
    • Added Join Selected Scenarios.
    • Added Windowcleaner (I use this to remove debuffs/buffs from the unit frames and just have them displayed with DAoC buff Bar.)

Re: Some UI Add-on I'm using

    I updated KillThehealer to TargetInfo.

I'm also looking at HealGrid instead of Squared as it has a lot of built in stuff which Squared needs other addons for, i.e. assist, hovercast, click casting etc.

It also has a GUI for options.

Has anyone used this and can compare it to squared?

Re: Some UI Add-on I'm using

I had a quick go of heal grid and I think I preferred squared. Plus the fact a new version of squared was just released with the GUI options screen.

I found ISHealBot useful but I think I prefer clicking the action Icons and for some reason click casting on players does not register for the idle counter so it's annoying when you have to click the warning message in scenarios.

    Re: Recommended Add-Ons

Just installing the game so will try some of these out. Another very useful addon (unless they have changed the mechanics in game) is an auto dismount MOD. GET [HERE] Players from WOW will be used to this. Once installed you dont need to click/hotkey your mount to get off it, just cast anything from your hotbar and you will dismount and cast that spell/attack. Great for chassing down players in SCs. I usuall charge in and and use a HOT to dismount before I start hitting people :-)
